Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts that most parts of the country will remain generally dry with intervals of partly cloudy skies, while foggy conditions may continue and day and night temperatures are expected to fluctuate slightly during the next 24 hours beginning at 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the bulletin indicates that moderate to thick fog may occur at many places over the country from midnight to morning, with some areas experiencing fog until noon. The presence of thick fog could temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication.
A mild to moderate cold wave is affecting the Khulna and Barishal divisions, as well as the districts of Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, and Sirajganj. This cold wave may persist in these areas. The bulletin also notes that night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged while day temperatures may rise slightly, and the foggy conditions could contribute to a continued feeling of cold across the country.
On Tuesday, Teknaf recorded the highest temperature at 26.6 degrees Celsius, whereas Gopalganj registered the lowest at 7.5 degrees Celsius today. In the capital, the sunset is expected at 5:22 pm today, with sunrise anticipated at 6:41 am tomorrow.
