Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, described the 2023 Agrarian Reform Task Force (GTRA) Summit held from August 2830, 2023, as a momentum to realize legal certainty regarding land ownership for the people."The GTRA Summit must be able to integrate all ministries, agencies, and local governments to solve various problems related to land," Hartarto said while virtually opening the third day of the GTRA Summit here on Wednesday. He expressed the hope that through the meeting, all parties, including ministries, agencies, and local governments, would unite in solving various agrarian problems in order to provide legal certainty on land ownership to the community. The GTRA Summit was themed "Transforming Agrarian Reform, Realizing Legal Certainty, Sustainable Development and People's Welfare." Meanwhile, Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister, Hadi Tjahjanto, said that the GTRA Summit was a forum to implement the mandate of Presidential Decree No. 86 of 2018 concerning Agrarian Reform. ccording to him, the forum was a platform for ministries and agencies to work together to formulate a policy to resolve agrarian problems across Indonesia. "In (the previous) implementation (of the summit) in Wakatobi in 2022, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that he will not tolerate the loss of the state and society that is caused by 'sectoral and institutional egos' that can hinder the agrarian reform agenda," he said. Indonesia is still facing a range of land-related problems, such as conflict over land between residents and the state in Purworejo and Blora in Central Java, he noted. There are also residents who live on water and in coastal areas who do not have legal certainty on land ownership. Tjahjanto said that the state must be involved in efforts to provide land ownership certificates to them.
