INACA-Boeing collaborate to advance Indonesia’s aviation sector

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Committee of the Indonesia National Air Carrier Association (INACA) agreed on collaborating with Boeing to advance the aviation sector in Indonesia during a visit to its plane factory in Seattle, the United States.During the visit, led by Chair of INACA Denon Prawiraatmadja, they also held a closed-door meeting with Vice President of Global Strategic Initiatives Commercial Sales and Marketing Boeing Commercial Airplanes, John Bruns, for discussing a new business scheme for Boeing to enter Indonesia.

"The collaboration between INACA and Boeing is very important because Indonesia, which is ready to become the fourth-largest economy globally in 2045, is trying to improve its aviation sector," Prawiraatmadja noted in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

He remarked that at the meeting, discussions were also held regarding the financing of Boeing aircraft for operators in Indonesia.

The partnership aims to leverage Boeing's extensive expertise and technological advancements in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, and pilot training to support rapid growth of the Indonesian aviation industry.

Prawiraatmadja, who concurrently serves as deputy chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Transportation, explained that by combining forces, INACA and Boeing are expected to pave the way for sustainable development, ensure the safety and efficiency of air travel, as well as maximize the economic potential that lies ahead for Indonesia.

"This important meeting aims to encourage collaboration and discuss the potential for mutual growth and development, thus further strengthening the partnership between Boeing and the Indonesian aviation industry," he affirmed.
