Dhaka: Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar arrived in Dhaka this morning to attend the funeral of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He was received at the airport by Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma, as confirmed by the Spokesperson of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a special flight carrying the Indian external affairs minister landed in Dhaka at 11:30 am. The funeral ceremony is scheduled to be held at Manik Mia Avenue at 2 pm, with foreign dignitaries, political leaders, and representatives from various countries expected to attend.
