Japan is committed to promoting more collaboration in the health sector, especially quality health services in Cambodia. The commitment was highlighted by H.E. Iwaki Mitsuhide, former Japanese Minister of Justice and President of the Cambodia-Fukushima Friendship Association, in a meeting with H.E. Prof. Koy Vanny, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, on July 18. H.E. Iwaki Mitsuhide informed H.E. Prof. Koy Vanny that the association was established to promote awareness about Cambodia, the exchange of economy and culture, and the friendship between Cambodia and Japan's Fukushima province. The association will work with Cambodia's Ministry of Health and the Royal Government of Cambodia to further promote global health coverage in the country. H.E. Prof. Koy Vanny welcomed H.E. Iwaki Mitsuhide's intention and shared with him the ministry's priorities and strategic plan.
