Kazakhstan, Singapore discuss investment cooperation
Bishkek (AKIpress) – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Singapore Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhataev met September 1 with President of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) Lim Siong Guan.
Ambassador briefed on the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan since its new monetary policy has taken effect, as well as explained the “100 Steps Plan” on implementation of five institutional reforms proposed by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Lim Siong Guan called Kazakhstan as the most advanced ex-Soviet country in terms of public administration and economic reforms, highlighting the long-sightedness of “Nurly Zhol” development strategy, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said in a statement on September 2.
Top management of the Singaporean corporation was invited to take part in road-show named “Investment Opportunities of Kazakhstan” set for September 18 in Singapore.
The Government of Singapore Investment Corporation is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, which invests in a wide range of assets in more than 40 countries.
