Minebea Cambodia is planning to expand its investment in the Kingdom by establishing a new special economic zone for a wider connected production chain. Mr. KAINUMA Yoshihisa, Director General of Minebea Cambodia, raised the investment expansion plan during a working meeting with H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC headquarters in Phnom Penh on Feb. 21. Minebea Cambodia, a subsidiary of Japanese multinational corporation MinebeaMitsumi, Inc., commenced its operations in 2011, since then the company has continuously expanded its production line. Minebea Cambodia is investing in the production of small motors, fan motors, machine parts, optical components for mobile phones, vibrators for computer games, LED backlight, blood glucose metre, smart public lighting system, employing 6,911 people.
