Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has hoped for further promotion of cooperation in trade and investment between Cambodia and the European Union (EU). The hope was expressed when Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet received H.E. Driesmans Igor, newly appointed EU Ambassador to Cambodia at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon. During the courtesy meeting, H.E. Driesmans Igor highlighted the strong diplomatic ties and fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and the EU in many areas, including trade, investment and people-to-people relations. The EU ambassador also reaffirmed his commitment to helping to promote the Cambodia-EU cooperation in all areas, especially to inform the EU businessmen and investors about the Royal Government's efforts in conducting sharp reform and increasing the country's competitiveness.
