Singapore Press : The New Paper to become a five-day publication
About The New Paper
Launched in 1988, The New Paper has pioneered a style of journalism in Singapore that goes for sharp news angles, and puts a human face to Singapore stories and to complicated issues of the day. In the following years, the paper built a reputation for its unique style of presenting complex issues in an easy-to-read, pop style for young and busy readers, winning multiple international awards for its stories, photos, layout design and infographics. In 2016, The New Paper became a freesheet after merging with My Paper, a free newspaper published by SPH. It now focuses on delivering news that busy professionals, executives, managers and businessmen need to know to go about their day, with coverage on the economy, jobs, property, politics, as well as sports and lifestyle content on health, travel, entertainment and food. The New Paper is currently the only free newspaper in Singapore.
