Switzerland is committed to continuing to support Cambodia's decentralisation reform, including capacity building for concerned officials. The commitment was made by H.E. Alexandre Fasel, Secretary of State at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, during a meeting with H.E. Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and President of the National Committee for Sub-National Democratic Development in Bern early this week. H.E. Sar Sokha appreciated H.E. Alexandre Fasel's support, which included strengthening the capacity of Cambodian national police and law enforcement officials. The assistance, he added, will make the crackdown on cybercrimes and security, money laundering, and operations at the sub-national level to strengthen social accountability more effective. He also informed the state secretary of his planned exposure visit to Switzerland and Germany to learn from the countries to further promote decentralisation and deconcentration reform and good gov ernance in Cambodia.
