Two Arrested In Enforcement Operation Against Massage Establishments
The Police have conducted an enforcement operation against ten massage establishments (MEs) located along Upper Thomson Road, Balestier Road, Scotts Road and River Valley Road on 24 September 2019.
During the operation conducted by Tanglin Police Division, three massage establishments were found to be operating without a massage establishment licence. One licensed massage establishment was found to have contravened licensing conditions. Two women, aged 36 and 45, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
Action will also be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement actions against those found breaking the law.
